About the Vampire Facial
The Vampire Facial is one of the most exciting and unique treatments we offer. Developed by the renowned Dr. Charles Runels, it stimulates your skin’s regenerative processes to give you plumper, smoother skin that looks young and radiant. And it’s all done with your body’s natural regenerative powers- platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a component of your blood and the key element of the Vampire Facial, works in tandem with microneedling to:

How it Works
As we age, our bodies produce collagen at slower and slower rates, leading to thin, dull skin and wrinkles. PRP counteracts this process through the growth factors it carries. They signal your body’s natural healing processes, jumpstarting the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, and allowing new, healthy skin cells to grow. The PRP is applied topically following a session of microneedling with the SkinPen microneedling device; this creates tiny channels in the top layers of skin that allow the growth factors in the PRP to penetrate the skin. Microneedling also increases collagen and elastin production to add another layer of regenerative power. You can also opt to do injections of PRP in deep wrinkles to treat them more aggressively.
There may be some improvements immediately following your treatment and you will see steady improvements over the following 6 months and beyond as your body produces more collagen and elastin. Deep wrinkles and fine lines will fill out and areas of thin skin will plump up, leaving you with a smooth complexion that looks years younger. You will also see increased firmness, elasticity, and radiance.
What to Expect
First, your blood will be drawn and spun in the centrifuge machine to separate out the PRP. Our centrifugation kit from Accellerated Biologics provides the highest possible concentration of platelets, giving you superior results. The PRP will be gently brushed onto the skin following a session of microneedling.
The hour-long treatment is safe, effective, and well-tolerated by most patients. Topical anesthesia will be applied to the skin prior to treatment to prevent the mild pain or discomfort that may accompany microneedling. You may experience redness like a mild sunburn in the treated area, which you can cover with makeup the day after the procedure if necessary. If you choose to do injections in deep wrinkles, there may be bruising.
